Fuller Chevrolet-GMC sponsors Rockland peewee football
Fuller Chevrolet-GMC of Rockland partnered with Rockland peewee football this fall to provide the league's players and coaches with equipment, a monetary donation and a chance to raise up to $10,000.
In support of Rockland's youth, Fuller Chevrolet-GMC provided Rockland peewee football with football kits, which included equipment bags, 5-gallon water coolers, first-down marker chain set, helmet sticker decals and t-shirts.
Offering additional support to the community, Rockland peewee football embarked on the opportunity to raise as much as $10,000 through fundraising efforts where one patron in the Northeast would win a new 2012 GMC Terrain (MSRP not to exceed $30,000).
Fuller Chevrolet-GMC and other Maine-area GMC dealerships in the Northeast had donated the vehicle to the participating leagues.
One second prize winner was to be selected from Maine to win a tailgating package (grill and $100 gift card). All proceeds go directly to the participating leagues, which can use the funds as they choose.
Some of the leagues planned to grant scholarships to families who cannot afford to enroll their children in the league, while others will use the funds to improve fields and equipment.
The Rockland peewee league raised $500. The raffle has concluded.
"GMC and youth football. It's a great combination," said Tammy Kolmosky of Fuller Chevrolet-GMC. "We are proud to be able to help the kids in our community by donating equipment and giving them the opportunity to raise much needed funds for their league. We are excited to be part of the effort this year."
